Earthquake Coverage

We had a 5.4 Earthquake yesterday (07/29/2008) here in Los Angeles and TV coverage during events like this is dismal at best.  We had all channels covering it most of the day.  This is totally unnecessary.  Nothing really happened, some things fell, but that's about it.  All they needed to do was come on, make an announcement, and return to regular programming.  I bet all the people that wanted to watch the soaps in LA were really mad, I know I was, they pre-empted General Hospital! !   I had to wait until 10:00 to watch it on SoapNet! ! !  They could have run GH at the normal time and have a ticker at the bottom informing everyone news of the earthquake and nothing big happened.

This is LA and we have strong buildings, not straw huts like a lot of places that get earthquakes.  Some places an earthquake of this size would kill thousands of people, but basically nothing happened here, just some minor things.

I know some have good intentions but it's really all about the hype and trying to scare us so that we'll be ok with the government taking more of our money.  Don't Be Scared!

Stop Making Laws! ! ! ! PLEASE! ! !

We need to have a moratorium of any laws being made. All laws need to be repealed and it's time to start over. How much more freedom are you willing to relinquish? ? ? This has to stop or it will be the end of the United States. We are doing what I wrote in my song Survival of the Fittest - "A great civilization is not conquered from without Until it has destroyed itself from within". I wrote that 20 years ago and it is coming so true along with another song Check Brains Here that details how they are controlling our lives more each day.

Schwarzenegger signs law banning trans fats in restaurants from the LA Times is another example of how the government in micro-managing our lives and taking away our freedom.

Cool Cars of the future, now here

I can't wait to see these cool cars on the road.  Most cars on the road are boring looking.  They just need to set the price about half or more that the price, then people will buy them.

They're always trying to scare you

I hate it when people lie so much or at least play with numbers to make you think the opposite of what's true.  I may have blogged on this before but it bears repeating.  Cnet ran an article Report: Facebook growing faster than MySpace  that is an example of this.  Who really knows what their point is and it is really inconsequential anyway.  Any time you see growing "faster than", more increase" or similar, they are pulling one over on you.  If I only have one reader of this blog, then I have 5 readers of it, I now have increased 500%, WOW! ! !  Now some other blog went from 100,000 to 200,000, it only increased 200%, they did alot worse, WRONG!  See how they play with numbers to scare you, so don't be scared! ! !

Signs of real freedom in Iraq

This interesting article on Hot Rods in Iraq tells me how much freedom there is over there.   Hot rods are these Iraqis' driving passion - Los Angeles Times   People who complain how long it is taking in Iraq don't know history, or are deniers or revisionists and want it to conform to their agenda. It took along time for us in this country to settle our differences when it was created, we had a civil war almost 100 years later.  They just need help to get on their feet.  It took Japan and Germany time to adjust to freedom after WWII.
