New Network Dedicated to Lies

They are starting a new "green" network dedicated to the lie that we are destroying our planet.  People have never been more conscious of taking care of the planet since God created us.  The earth is the cleanest it has ever been and they claim we are still evil and the scourge of the Earth.  They make statistics up to make it seem that we are killing the Earth.

Playing with Statistics Again

This story could be about anything, they make you think something is wrong when I more than likely isn't. They are always trying to play on your fear. Of course something new is going to grow faster than something that's been around.

For example, take cars in the early 20th century, the growth rate probably seemed astronomical. Not many had a car and everyone was buying one, compared to now most families probably have at least two. If most people have one it isn't going to grow much. And those horse and buggies and all the people required to care for them were on the decline.

Well I'm sure most people who want a MySpace page probably have one and it just won't grow much more. We have to get away from this culture of the latest and greatest and stick with something that is tried and true. Think a little, don't feel so much.

Computers Don't Improve Learning

I blogged on this a while back when the OLPC (One Laptop per Child) craze was catching on.  I didn't make sense to me then and now it seems I was right to be skeptical according to an article - "Thanks for the PC.  What do I do with it?" on Cnet.  Just giving computers to kids without showing them what to do with it is just asking for trouble.

Government Punishes for good Deeds

No good deed goes unpunished. LA Times article Vegetable oil fuels cars -- and tax bills chronicles people trying what they can do for the environment and all they get is punished for it. They state is going after people for running their cars on vegetable oil because they aren't paying tax on it ! ! ! ! When are we going to have a modern version of the Boston Tea Party ! ! ! The Democrats are taxing us to death. They love to control our lives ! ! ! If they really cared about the environment they wouldn't be taxing like this and promote things like electric cars by making the cost $5000 instead of only rich people being able to afford them. We need to cancel ALL laws and start over with a minimal set and go from there.

Resources are finite lie

I hear this a lot and it really doesn't make sense and I think it is a problem of the failed method of teaching in schools, especially colleges which have basically deteriorated into another garden of kinder (kindergarten).  The earth is not static, just look at it, volcanoes erupt making new earth, islands get bigger (look at Hawaii for example - it is growing!), oceans rise and fall, changing the coast lines, etc.  Diamonds keep getting made, oil keeps getting made, etc.  It is more of this tactic of trying to scare you so they can control you.  Just Don't Be Scared! ! ! !
